Teaser Tuesdays {1-13-09}

  • Grab your current read
  • Let the book fall open to a random page
  • Share with us two (2) "teaser" sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you're getting your "teaser" from ... that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you've given!
  • Please avoid SPOILERS.
Teddy pulled a tapered candle from a holder on the shelf and handed it to her, standing on his tiptoes. Grasping it upside down, she used the candle like a mike and launched into the song from the beginning, gyrating her hips and swinging her head like she did in the video.
This week's Teasers DO NOT come from Emily Post: Daughter of the Gilded Age, Mistress of American Manners. I finished Emily Post yesterday afternoon (hoping to post my review late today or early tomorrow). This week's Teasers come from The Smart One by Ellen Meister, which was sent to me by Renee @ IJustFinished.com. Don't forget to read more Teasers on MizB's ShouldBeReading.

  1. Humm sounds provocative . . . A teaser indeed.

  2. I'll take a Granny Smith apple over a cupcake any day! Does that make me a smart one...? ;)

  3. Glad to hear you finished Emily Post although I enjoyed reading the teasers from her. This book teaser sounds tempting.

  4. Ha ha! If that HAD been from your last read I really would have been interested in getting to know Emily!

  5. Ohhhh - sounds like a fun book! :) I love the cover.
