Library Loot is a weekly event hosted by Marg @ Reading Adventures that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
Here are the books that I have checked out right now:
Challenge books
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Reaghan's current books checked out

Checked out for myself just because
The Well-Educated Mind by Susan Wise Bauer-- I was wandering in the Non-Fiction section, looking for my fiance. I found him near the book about books. Having not graduated from high school (GED) I always feel like I'm either missed out on some Great Books or else when I do read a GB I'm never sure if I've really "gotten" it. This book seems like a good fix for that. It promises to help with reading comprehension of these classics (novels, plays, poetry, bios)

Ohhh how do you like Outlander? It's one of my all time favorites. I love all the books in the series!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! Enjoy.
Hey Mollie.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Outlander. A friend of mine has been after me to read it since we met (about 6 years ago). She and I have similar tastes in books and all she would really tell me was to trust her, that I would like it. I wasn't really sure what to expect once I dove in. I finished all 600+ pages in about 4 days which for me only happens when I'm really sucked in. =)
Glad you liked it! I re-read Outlander a year or so ago and a lot of the stuff I loved that I thought happened in that one actually happened in the second book! That's what happens when each of her books are pushing 1000 pages! ;)
ReplyDeleteDo you plan to read the rest of the series?
