What I finished last week

It took her 5 years, but my friend/defacto sister-in-law Jen finally got her wish. I've read Outlander! Before I was even finished with it I went to the library's online catalog and requested Dragonfly in Amber. I'm still waiting for it to arrive at my library though. =(
What I am reading now

"The Well-Educated Mind offers brief, entertaining histories of five literary genres - fiction, autobiography, history, drama, and poetry - accompanied by detailed instructions on how to read each type. The annotated lists at the end of each chapter - ranging from Cervantes to A. S. Byatt, Herodotus to Laurel Thatcher Ulrich - preview recommended reading and encourage readers to make vital connections between ancient traditions and contemporary writing."

"Rosner tells the story of a German artist and his Israeli model, the moral implications of their relationship and the lasting impact of the Holocaust."
What's next?

For an exercise in the The Well-Educated Mind". I only need to read the first 10 chapters. We'll see once I start if I'll continue with the book.

For Simon and Schuster Advisory Board.

You have a very interesting variety of books! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking reads! I have had books that friends have recommended that usually I purchase on their recommendation and then shelf them. I dont know why.... but when they finally do come off the shelf, 9 times out of 10 I kick myself for not reading it sooner.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... that reminds me....
Have a super week!
