Library Loot #10 (w00t! double digits!)

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire @ The Captive Reader and Marg @ Reading Adventures that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

Here are the books that I have checked out right now:

Challenge books
Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2)
Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon -- Reading this as my 3rd (and final required) book for The Chunkster Challenge

Reaghan's current books checked out
No new books this week for Reaghan

Checked out for myself just because
First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1)The Adventures of Don Quixote
First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost -- I borrowed this after reading this review on Moonlight to Twilight but I just couldn't seem to get into it. I did adhere to my 20% rule.

The Adventures of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra -- I got this specific ISBN because it was recommended by Susan Wise Bauer in her book (from last week's LL) The Well-Educated Mind. I have been waiting for it to arrive so that I can do the next exercise in that book.

  1. Ohhh Dragon Fly in Amber!!!! Are you enjoying the Outlander series? Do you plan to or have you read all the books? It's one of my all time favorite series. Although all of the books ARE very chunky! Great finds hope you enjoy all your loot!

  2. I'm enjoying the series so far. I do plan on reading the whole series. I was confused when I started DiA. I thought it was maybe the 3rd one with the way it started with Claire having a 20yo daughter.

  3. Hi Kylee,
Sorry First Drop of Crimson was a dud for you. I read the first two books in the author's first series, and wasn't sure about continuing so I get where you're coming from about not getting into it. I think this author is a hit or miss for a lot of people.

I like your 20% rule. Mine is a 100 page rule, which in a lot of cases is closer to 30%.

    Enjoy your other reads!

  5. I have yet to read any of Gabaldon's books, despite all the good I've heard about them. One of these days, I'm going to have to do it!

    Happy reading!
